Gift Ideas for Christmas Exchange

The biggest shopping headache has definitely got to be when you have no idea whom the recipient is?! This is usually the case of Christmas exchange and the migraine gets worse with the diversity of the group (mixed genders and wide age range).

Here are some cute and functional ideas:

1) Drop this deep tea diver infuser into your mug (not included) and allow it to swim whilst preparing your tea.

2) Have a little faith this Christmas.

3) Celebrate this Christmas with a reindeer that poops jellybeans!

4) Everyone loves a cold drink in this sunny island. What's make a better gift than a slushie ice crusher beverage machine?!

5) Functional and decorative. Enjoy snowy cherry blossoms this Christmas.

All Christmas Trees Are Prefect

The best ornament for your home this season has to be the Christmas tree.

Pine and fir trees are the most common choices. However, if purchasing real trees are not feasible, why not consider getting your loved ones involved in a D-I-Y Christmas tree project instead of getting artificial ones.

Make your own christmas tree this year with:

Time cant be given. But it can be shared.

“This story is about people, secrets and time. About people who, not unlike parcels, hide secrets, who cover themselves with layers until they present themselves to the right ones who can unwrap them and see inside.”

Rurouni Kenshin Movie

Mr R is super excited about Rurouni Kenshin movie, as it is ranked among his top five favourite mangas.

Indeed, the theatre was mainly filled with adrenaline-rushed guys. I bet most of the females are clueless companions dragged by the boyfriend to watch the movie.

The movie is slight over 2 hours. The first half is more story-telling, good for audience like me (non-readers). In contrast, the second half comprises mainly of fighting scenes.

The villain (see bespectacled man with sleek hair) provides most of the laughter. That said, he is my favourite character in the movie! His expressions and gestures are simply hilarious.

Overall, I will suggest fans of the manga to enjoy he movie with fellow fans. Otherwise, you may end up be bombarded with endless questions by non-readers Opps!

Ricciotti Pizza Pasta Grill

Singapore has to be the country with the highest concentration of shopping malls per square feet. It is getting difficult to track the names of these malls.

Today, we decided to meet mid-point and check out at The Star Vista at Buona Vista. The mall was heavily populated by F&B establishments, including Canton Paradise, Itacho Sushi, Manhattan Fish Market, etc.

Our lucky pick was Ricciotti Pizza Pasta Grill!

I love the mural :):):) The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seatings. However, the indoor area is really small. There are barely space for the servers to walk around.

Seafood Marinara Pasta with generous portions of prawns, squid, scallops, and clams. The only negative comment is the lack of choice of pasta, especially when spaghetti happens to be my least favourite pasta choice.

Egg, Bacon, & Mushroom Pizza. I am sure they have a fancier name, which I can't recollect for the moment. The bacon smell is strong, such that I can taste the bacon even when eating slices that do not have bacon on them. Good for bacon lovers! The mushrooms are absolutely yummy! However, I probably will not order pizzas from them again. I will love my pizza to be drier with burnt cheese.

Nevertheless, I will likely pay them a visit again to try out their grill selections :) The grilled calamari with lemon sauce is ringing in my head!
