They have four soup choices: Sichuan Spicy, Pork Bone and Corn, Dan Dan, and Preserved Egg and Parsley. You can select any two choices for a combination soup base. We selected the first two, former for me, and latter for him.
The buffet ingredients were not fantastic. Their seafood variety was limited to cuttlefish, assortments of balls, and three pieces of prawns per customer.
Beverages were included in the buffet. While it was great that the servers would automatically top up your drinks, they refused to let me order a glass of coke until I finished my glass of barley. This would not be a problem if they have have stated that rule clearly, or at least if the server would inform me of that before they went ahead to top up my glass of barley without checking with me. So frustrating!
Nevertheless, the greatest disappointment that night ought to be the xiao long baos! Not only did their appearance looked ugly, they tasted really awful! The skin was puffy, the meat was thick, and there was barely any soup?! These were definitely sub par!!!
Overall, the experience was BLAH! Bye bye Crystal Jade Xiao Long Bao Buffet! You had been blacklisted!
