On Saturday, we went to Legoland Malaysia. I couldn't remember how much we paid for our tickets, as we bought ours a couple of months ago at a discount during an early bird promotion fair held at Raffles City. According to their website, an adult ticket costs RM140 (~SGD56).
We set off in the morning, taking CW4 at Jurong East Bus Interchange to CIQ Link 2 and then JPO2 to Legoland. The whole traveling time (excluding queueing time at immigration) is about 70 minutes.
Tips to note: (1) Check the bus schedule, especially for JPO2 as the frequency is every 2 hours; (2) Reach CIQ Link 2 about 30 minutes before the scheduled time of JPO2 (the bus was fully packed [sardined] 10 minutes before the scheduled time).
Apparently, Legoland did have some Christmas specials for the month of December. However, the only Christmasy item I saw was this Christmas tree. Where were the street performance?!
There are seven lands in Legoland Malaysia. The first land we ventured into was Lego City!
Uh-oh! Yes, they had a technical error! So, we spent 40 minutes queueing for nothing... >.<
As Legoland targets families with children below 11 years old, there are many big playgrounds like The Shipyard in the theme park.
Queuing again... Most of the less kiddy rides had a waiting time of at least 30 minutes. What to do when you are bored? Camwhore!
Giraffes that play soccer! We ate lunch at the Pizza Mania (behind the Giraffes) and it was terrible! So bad that I didn't even bother to take photographs of the food.
For good views of Legoland, take a ride on the Observation Tower.
The Royal Joust is definitely the cutest ride, but it is only meant for kids :p
The castle at Kingdom Land! This castle mainly houses the queue and some exhibitions for The Dragon ride. The Dragon is definitely the most iconic and thrilling ride of Legoland.
Simply love the colours of the Legoland Express Train.
Of all the lands, my favourite is definitely the Mini Land! After all, what's Legoland without the miniature towns :)
First up is Singapore! I love all the small details, like SBS and Hippo buses, Duck Tour Boat, river cruise, street lamps, and on-going constructions. The only things missing are Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay.
Next up is Taj Mahal.
For China, the Forbidden City and Great Wall are being featured.
Angkor Wat.
Burma.
Malaysia.
Some close-up shots around the Mini Land.
Apart from Singapore, my other favourite is definitely the Pirates!
We spent a longer time than expected at Legoland, as we did not expect the queues to be that long >.< Overall, we had fun in Legoland... but would probably not make a return visit. Apart from lacking thrilling rides, the main problem is the lack of atmosphere, especially considering that Christmas is just around the corner.
On a side note, I miss Disneyland Tokyo, the Christmas atmosphere was awesome in 2009 :):):)
